Doug Polk recently asked his followers on X (formerly Twitter) whether it was a bad look for him to play in events at his own card room and possibly win tournaments. Surprisingly, 29.5% of respondents thought it was. The controversy intensified when Polk expressed his surprise at the negative reactions from certain players who didn’t want him competing in tournaments at The Lodge.
